Facilities we offer
Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy is a procedure to examine the airways (lung pipes) for diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases, performed by inserting a bronchoscope through the mouth or nose, and sometimes through a tracheostomy.
Digital X-ray
Chest X-ray is the most commonly used investigation in pulmonology to create images of the lungs using a small amount of X-rays.
In-house X-ray services at Fefsa Hospital provide quick results and save valuable time.
Lung Sonography
Lung Sonography is a non-invasive test that provides information about the lungs, mediastinum, and pleural space.
It also guides procedures such as fluid drainage, pus removal, and lung biopsy in real time.
Thoracoscopy
Thoracoscopy is a video-assisted endoscopic procedure used to examine the pleural cavity under general anesthesia or sedation.
It helps in diagnosing conditions like cancer, tuberculosis, and metastatic disease, and allows biopsy, fluid drainage, and removal of pleural adhesions.
Sleep Study
A sleep study is a non-invasive overnight test that monitors brain activity, breathing, oxygen levels, heart rate, and body movements during sleep.
The recorded data is later analyzed by a specialist to diagnose sleep-related breathing disorders.
Pulmonary Rehabiltation
Pulmonary rehabilitation helps people with COPD manage their condition through supervised exercise, education, and lifestyle guidance.
It promotes self-management in collaboration with healthcare providers to improve overall well-being.
Allergy Test
Skin prick testing is used to identify IgE-mediated allergies in conditions such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, eczema, and food or drug allergy.
It helps determine the specific allergens responsible for allergic reactions.
Airway Oscillometry Test
Impulse Oscillometry (IOS) is a non-invasive test that measures lung mechanics during normal breathing using sound waves.
It requires minimal patient effort and helps detect small and large airway obstruction, often more sensitively than spirometry.
Pulmonary Function Testing (PFTS)
Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) assess lung function and help diagnose respiratory diseases affecting the airways, lungs, and chest mechanics.
They are useful for preoperative evaluation, identifying causes of breathlessness, monitoring diseases like COPD, ILDs, and asthma, and assessing treatment response.
